Quickest ever pizza
Ingredients (2 servings)
- 250 g self-raising flour
- 2 tbsp olive oil, plus extra for greasing
- 100 ml warm water
- 100 g passata
- 3 tbsp tomato puree
- 75 g cheddar cheese
Plus any topping you like, how about:
- spinach and ricotta (with a pinch of nutmeg)
- tuna and sweetcorn
- mushrooms
- sliced tomatoes
- finely diced red or yellow peppers
Method
1. Preheat oven to 230°C/450°F/gas mark 8.
2. Brush a baking tray with oil.
3. Mix the flour, oil and water in a mixing bowl with a spoon. Then, using your hands, knead the mixture into a ball.
4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes, then roll it out until it is about ½ cm thick and the right shape to fit on your baking tray.
5. Mix together the passata and tomato puree and spread it over the pizza base.
6. Put on your favourite toppings, then grate the cheese over the top and put the pizza in the oven for 10-15 minutes.
